At Lazy K9, our team consisting of myself as head groomer, an assistant, and also a groomer in training, are dedicated to providing a positive, gentle environment to gain trust and always make your dog’s experience a pleasant one! Using only positive reinforcement techniques and gentle handling, we’ve had great success with dogs of all ages and personalities. Each dog is unique, and we strive to work with each one, adjust as needed, and find what makes them most at ease. Because our shop is small, we are able to concentrate on quality and specialized care.
We use gentle, natural products – many are made “in house,” and have long-proven techniques to properly and efficiently care for each dog. When your dog is in our care, you will know that they are treated with love and respect.
For us, it is more than just our love of dogs that drives us. It is also our respect and compassion for these important members of each and every family we work with every day.
Nutrition:
After many years of noticing and promoting the benefits of proactive care, I ventured into the foundation of proactive and/or preventative care: nutrition. I’ve taken a multitude of courses, attended seminars and classes, and have done extensive research on my own. I am now proud to provide clients with knowledgeable solutions and options to boost their pet’s overall health and wellness through simple and inexpensive, supplemental nutrition. I make homemade, supplemental diets for many clients and provide guidance and resources as well.
Training:
One aspect of my career ties in with all the rest – training. We practice positive reinforcement every day in the grooming shop. I have found that a gentle technique is what dogs respond well to, as it involves their own input and thought. Thus, providing a good base for further training.
I also offer various training classes, as time allows. We have had success with everything from basic training, learning tricks, therapy dog work, and more. I also have assisted many clients, in their own home, with specific behavioral issues.
